We have officially released a revised version of our Robotics Fundamentals Teacher Guide.
The new edition has been redesigned to better support classroom use, with a stronger focus on block-based programming using Open Roberta and full alignment with the MiBo Educational Line Following Robot Kit.
What's New?
- Clearer lesson structure and learning objectives
- Improved introduction to programming concepts such as loops, variables, sensors, and conditional logic
- Direct integration with our Open Roberta platform
- Curriculum tailored to the MiBo robot kit
Core Course and Optional Extensions
Lessons 1-6 form a complete robotics course using only the standard MiBo kit. Students learn programming fundamentals and develop their own line-following robot without requiring additional hardware.
Starting with Lesson 7, the guide introduces optional extension modules that require additional sensors, such as:
Ultrasonic sensors for obstacle detection
Color sensors for color recognition
This allows schools to either complete the core course or continue with more advanced robotics topics.
Robotics Education
From first steps to autonomous robots.
Teacher Guide 3.0
Refined through real classroom experience.
Inspired by RoboCupJunior
While the guide focuses on practical STEM education, it continues to draw inspiration from RoboCupJunior Rescue Line and Rescue Maze, providing students with real-world robotics challenges and motivating project-based learning.
Supporting Teachers and Students
With its combination of structured lesson plans, classroom-ready activities, MiBo hardware, and Open Roberta programming, the updated guide provides an accessible starting point for robotics education in schools.
Our goal remains the same: helping students discover programming, robotics, and problem-solving through hands-on learning experiences.
